INTRODUCING FEELIT: SCHOOL ASSEMBLY
The FEELIT Program launches in schools with an assembly video to introduce the importance of understanding our feelings to all children participating in FEELIT. This helps set the scene for the Program and also gives pupils a sense of togetherness and community. Why not watch this with your child/ren and support the program at home?
EXAMPLE FEELIT VIDEO: NERVOUS
Each of the 100 feelings are introduced through a video or a teacher-led presentation. There are 12 new feelings introduced each year so the program progresses with the children through the school. The accompanying videos, activities and tools develop in line with child development too, helping children flourish emotionally as well as academically.
LEARN FROM PEERS: ADVICE - NERVOUS
With feelings that are both pleasant and unpleasant, pupils will learn techniques to help them recover from difficult feelings and help others too. This creates greater awareness and empathy, helping children create their own internal toolkits for success. Check out this video from a 13-year-old child who wanted to share her strategies to help with nervousness.
